Meteo Constellations (com.constellations.meteo, iOS y Android).
3. Qué NO hacemos
Privacy Policy — Constellations™ Apps (English)
Effective: September 18, 2026 · Applies to the apps:
NOC Constellations (com.constellations.noc),
Constellations PTT (com.constellations.ptt),
Constellations Series (com.constellations.aiobattseries),
NocAdmin (com.constellations.nocadminapp) and
Meteo Constellations (com.constellations.meteo, iOS and Android).
Who we are
The Constellations™ apps are professional tools for monitoring (including weather stations), administration, and push-to-talk communication for customers and operators of Constellations™ connectivity units. Contact: support@constellations.lat.
Data we process
- Device identifier (all apps except Meteo Constellations): to authenticate access, the app generates a cryptographic key in the device's secure keystore and sends our servers a device identifier and cryptographic signatures. The private key never leaves the device. This identifier is required to validate the usage license.
- Equipment telemetry (NOC Constellations, Constellations Series, NocAdmin): the apps display data generated by Constellations units (router status, satellite service, battery, the unit's GPS position, and environmental sensors). This data belongs to the monitored equipment, not to the app user, and is stored in our cloud infrastructure (AWS, us-east-1) encrypted in transit (TLS).
- Voice & audio (Constellations PTT and the radio built into NOC Constellations): these are push-to-talk radio apps. While you hold the talk button, the microphone captures your voice and transmits it in real time, encrypted in transit, to the other radios in your group through our relay server. Audio is used for live communication; it is never sold or used for advertising.
- Camera & video (video/incident feature in Constellations PTT and NOC Constellations): when you start a video, the camera captures image and sound and streams them live, encrypted in transit, to the members of your group or room. It only activates when you start it.
- Location (Constellations PTT and NOC Constellations radio): so dispatch and other group members can locate you on the operational map, the app may share your device location with your group through our servers while the radio is active. You control this through the operating system permissions.
- Device location as a field aid (Constellations Series "Tracker" feature): the Tracker tab uses your device's GPS to show your own position and compass. This location is processed on-device only; it is not transmitted to our servers or to third parties.
- Messages (Constellations PTT and NOC Constellations): text messages you send to a channel or another member are transmitted encrypted in transit to the recipients through our servers, to operate the service.
- Administration data (NocAdmin): the admin console manages operational records of the organization's customers and operators (names, contact emails, equipment assignment, and permissions). This is business data of the account holder, processed to provide the service.
- Weather station (Meteo Constellations): the app reads your station through the Constellations receiver over the site's local network; those readings do not go through our servers. The app uses no accounts and no device identifier. The site position (typed in Settings or, if you allow it, taken once from the phone's location) is stored on the device and on your receiver, and is sent to Open-Meteo to compute the forecast for that point. The forecast's "Here where I am" option sends the phone's location to Open-Meteo at that moment. Alerts are computed on the device.
- Biometrics (all apps except Meteo Constellations): biometric unlock uses the operating system APIs. The app only receives the result; biometric data is never accessible to us and never transmitted.
What we do NOT do
No ads or advertising SDKs. No sale or sharing of personal data. No user profiling or cross-app tracking. No collection of your device's contacts, photos, messages, or browsing history.
Third parties
The apps use Google Maps / Apple Maps to render maps (subject to Google's and Apple's privacy policies) and our cloud and relay infrastructure runs on Amazon Web Services. Constellations Series also communicates with the user's own Constellations unit over the local network or Bluetooth; that communication does not go through third parties. Meteo Constellations requests forecasts from Open-Meteo for the site position, downloads the fire hotspots published by NASA FIRMS and satellite imagery from NASA GIBS, shows OpenStreetMap maps, and gets the place name from the system geocoding service (Apple or Google).
Retention, security, and your rights
Equipment telemetry is retained for the duration of the service relationship. Radio voice and video are real-time and not persistently stored by design. Device identifiers are retained while the license is active. What Meteo Constellations stores (its settings, alerts, and a copy of the station's last 48 hours) lives only on the device and is deleted when the app is uninstalled. You may request access, correction, or deletion of data associated with your device or equipment at support@constellations.lat. These are professional tools intended for users 18 and older.
